Parents should stay with students in the lobby area until classes start.

Students should line up in the lobby to enter class. They will not be allowed inside the classroom until it’s time for their respective class.

Parents should pick up their child on time. If unavoidable circumstances come up and you will be late, please email the school to let us know.

Class Etiquette

At QSB we believe that discipline and respect are a very important part of ballet training, and as such we encourage our families to help us instill these values in our dancers:

RESPECT - Dancers work as a team, and we hope our students will make lasting friendships with their classmates. That means having respect for everyone in class and supporting each other. Dancers should also respect each other and themselves by understanding that classes are a time to learn, not to talk - you can catch up with your friends before and after class!

POSITIVE ATTITUDE - In ballet we are always working to improve; no one is perfect and everyone has their own unique positive qualities as well as things to work on. Come to class with a positive attitude, ready to learn. We are here to help you! :)

PUNCTUALITY - It is extremely important that dancers warm up properly; the first 15 minutes of class are essential to warming up the muscles and preventing injuries (and for younger pre-ballet students, this time is very important for settling into class). It is also distracting to the class if students show up late. For this reason, we ask that you make every effort to arrive on time, and dancers who arrive more than 10 minutes late may be asked to observe class.

additional school policies

We ask that if your child is sick that you please keep them at home until they are feeling better so as not to spread germs.

We understand that sometimes students will need to change class days in the middle of a semester. If such a request is made, we will do our best to honor it, but ultimately any changes are at the school's discretion.
